The Quad Pod K65 is suitable for football, rugby, American football, tennis, athletics, netball, hockey, and multi-use games areas.

How long does setup take?

Typically each Quad Pod K65 lighting tower can be set up in under 5 minutes per unit with one person; no tools required.

How can the Quad Pod K65 mobile sports lighting tower be powered?

The Quad Pod K65 can be supplied with either a 110V or 240V input plug enabling it to be flexibly powered by mains power, diesel generators or a Ritelite RITE-POWER battery powered generator. The Quad Pod K65 Sport+ offers a full DC lithium battery system enabling clubs and organisations to light any pitch or sports area from 100% battery power – perfect for sites with no power for silent, emission-free lighting.

What are the closed dimensions of the Quad Pod K65 product?

The closed dimensions of the Quad Pod K65 mobile lighting tower is 1.09M x 0.83M x 1.95M (L x W x H). Compact enough to fit through a standard doorway, it can be moved easily by hand over almost any surface using its large, all-terrain wheels.

How bright are the Quad Pod K65 lighting towers?

Each Quad Pod K65 provides up to 266,000 lumens and can light a full size pitch to DIN EN 12193 standard for training or competition levels. Depending on level of play and training area different light levels are recommended.

How many Quad Pod’s do I need to illuminate an 11v11 full size football pitch?

For an 11 V 11 full size pitch we would recommend between 6 and 8 Quad Pod K65 mobile lighting towers, depending on the brightness level you wish to achieve. Can the Quad Pod K65 be run from a battery?

Yes our Quad Pod K65 Sport+ model is a full DC battery system allowing you to light a pitch or any training are with 100% battery power –  Click here to find out more. If you want to use remote power for other applications we offer a range of battery powered generators under our RITE-POWER range which will power the Quad Pod. Both 110V and 230V options are available with a choice of power output for different applications and countries.

What is the wind rating for a Quad Pod K65 mobile lighting tower?

The Quad Pod K65 is safe to operate in wind speeds up to 30 mph (48 km/h) when correctly installed with stabilisers deployed.

Do we need planning permission to use the Quad Pod K65?

No planning permission is normally required as the K65 is a temporary lighting tower. However the lights should always be positioned to avoid them shining directly toward roads or neighbouring properties.

What does Beam Control mean?

Beam control refers to Ritelite’s unique lighting design ensuring that all the light that our products produce is directed towards the required playing or work surface rather than being lost into the sky or surrounding area in the most efficient way possible. Beam Controlled lensing considerably reduces any light pollution from the light to the surrounding area, especially important in built up areas or near protected wildlife areas. Can the Quad Pod K65 be used as a semi-permanent installation?

Yes. While fully mobile by design, most large-pitch installations use the K65 in a semi-permanent or seasonal setup, remaining in place throughout the training season.

This makes it an ideal alternative to permanent floodlighting where planning or infrastructure limits apply.
